this-n-that

it's always hard to think of things to blog about after reading my sister's blog. she's studying abroad right now, and her travel schedule for the next month is incredible:
- this weekend in paris
- thanksgiving in athens
- her last weekend in london

me? well, Husby and i are going to nashville this weekend!! it sounded fun to me until i found out sister dear will be jetting off to paris... =) we're still really excited. so this week will be full of getting ready for the trip. we're driving, and from here in The Valley, MN, it's a good 14 hr drive. plus, we have tickets for the musical wicked on thursday night (YAY!!!!), so seeing as the conference we're attending begins at 4 on friday... we'll be leaving immediately following the show and driving all night. i'm starting to caffeinate now. did you know that at starbucks you can plug in your starting and destination addresses and print off a map of all the starbucks along your route?! so great!!

today was a looong morning at church - i helped out with the sermon - followed by a napper and then dinner with grandpa and mom. by the time we got home, i'd missed the thanksgiving special iron chef, but we arrived just in time for the wizard of oz! we'd wanted to watch it before going to wicked. so we sacked out and vegged til now. just a normal day in the life of a girl... but it ain't paris. have fun sissy!!
