saturday

since i was a baby, my mom has told me that i need to be entertained. it's true. i'm not one to create my own entertainment, even now into my adult years. so whenHusby is off working, and i have all day to myself, sometimes i get bored. now, there are plenty of projects that are loooong overdue, and errands to run, and cards to write, and people to help... but sometimes i lack self-motivation/direction. so on my days off, i tend to over-veg. i read, watch tv, sit at a coffee shop, bake something, and watch tv.

today was a totally usual day off. i slept in, made coffee and prepped and ate a grapefruit, and watched tv. i read my new issue of the rachael ray magazine. i made a couple eggs. i watched tv. i cleaned the house - with the tv on. i chatted with my sister online. i ventured out and got a haircut. came home, hated the new do, Husby talked me into returning to the salon to have them fix it, and we did. came home, sort of liked the new do, and went to the church 20-something group. we had fun - just us and one other couple (the hosts) were there, but it was really fun. both of us couples are huge fans of 24, and we brought the 24 dvd game. bigtime nerdy, but fun :)

even though today was fine, one of these days, i just need to pull the plug on that dang tv.

Your lazy day is my productive day. That should make you feel better. All I did yesterday was lay in bed and watch 2 movies and then go into the bathtub, set up a chair for my laptop, and watch another one. Glad to know productiveness runs in the family :P
