from a truck stop in nowhere, ia

we found a truck stop with restaurant and wi-fi out here in nowhere, so we stopped and are eating. Husby wanted wi-fi to download a dvd player on the laptop as to make the time in the car go faster - hence the computer's out. so i thought i'd cram a quick post in before we go back into the car - bleh! i'm so done driving. oh well. we've probably got about 5.5 hours left, which isn't even the distance Husby and i had between us during our long-distance days. so hopefully it'll be a piece of cake!

this morning we stopped by the st. louis arch. i'll put up pics tomorrow. we continued along, and stopped in the cutest little town, st. charles, mo. it was adorable! we bought out the coffee shop/bakery, and re-hit the road. now we've been driving for a while. my allergies are kicking up a little, so i've been having that scratchy throat and yucky stomach that only come from some lovely nasal drip.

when we get back tonight, my girlfriend from WI will be waiting for us. she's flying out of msp tomorrow, so we thought we'd sieze the opportunity to spend some time together - no matter how late it is! and then, thanksgiving. ahh. next post: from home :)
